Name: Lauren Carter
Role: Beauty Editor
Thinks she is heaps good at: Winged eyeliner
From the moment she encountered her first Caboodles lip gloss (remember them?!), Lauren was head over heels in love with the shiny, sparkly and well-manicured world of beauty. Having worked at Girlfriend magazine, Professional Beauty, Cosmo Bride, Cosmo Pregnancy and Cosmo Hair & Beauty, she knows a thing or 87,265 about achieving complexion perfection, nailing the perfect pastel mani and rocking a blunt fringe like a boss. She can’t face the day without a fancy flick of liquid liner and a bright, budge-proof lip. As PRIMPED’s beauty editor, Lauren will be your go-to lady for the latest celeb looks and the best beauty buys hitting counters.
Name: Yaz Trollope
Role: Senior Contributor
Thinks she is heaps good at: Illuminated cheekbones
Yaz Trollope has always had a penchant for beauty products, treatments, writing and pampering in general: a prime candidate for a beauty journalist. Having started her career as beauty assistant at marie claire, learning 285 ways to look gorgeous and get glowing, Yaz moved over to beauty edit a weekly gossip magazine, Famous. There she learned that Katherine Heigl loves Kerastase Conditioner because, “It smells like fresh laundry,” and that Ashlee Simpson has unbelievably sensitive skin. Now at PRIMPED, Yaz is immersed in the world of widgets and webby stuff, but with the tasty flavour of beauty (phew). Scanning all the latest news, reviews and product launches, she’s a little beauty Cluedo, deciphering all the best (and worst) beauty snippets and dishing them out with fun and finesse and a fashion-forward top knot.
Name: Emma-Charlotte Bangay
Role: Senior Contributor
Thinks she is heaps good at: The glossy lid and finding long forgotten lip colours in every jacket pocket!
Emma-Charlotte Bangay became a beauty writer back in the early 1700′s. Or so it feels. In truth, her career has spanned only a few decades and various states, during which time she has penned beauty, health, celebrity and lifestyle whimsies for Marie Clair, Woman’s Day, SHE Magazine, Shop Til You Drop, New Idea, Sunday Life, Cosmopolitan, Fitness First and Real Living. A great believer that valuing yourself is priceless, her writing aims to spruik the positive vibes that a touch of lipstick, a hand massage or a deep cleansing mask can give. Oh, and she’s mad for a chat, so when no-one within her physical radius is up for one, she plans to bang on about all things beautiful to you.
