Diary-Date: Carine Roitfeld for M.A.C and Andy Warhol for Nars

They’re two of the most anticipated colour collections of the year. And now that the embargo date is officially over, we’re allowed to give you more details (yes, we know that news has already leaked all over online, but what can we say … we’re a little goody-goody when it comes to such rules).

First up, we told you about former the collaboration between former Paris Vogue editor and M.A.C a while back. Now we can give you a snapshot:

C’est très fabuleux, non?

We’ll run an in-depth review closer to launch (October 1^st) but what we’ll say now: this killer of a collection will make you want to smoke up your eyes, tousle your hair, slip into a little black dress and talk in a sexy, raspy, guttural kind of way. Just warning you.

Now onto … the Nars Andy Warhol collection.

Can you think of two more fabulous names for a collaboration? It’s a match made in makeup heaven. And not just because some of Warhol’s prints lend themselves so well to powder palettes, like these Flowers Eyeshadow ones, $89 each:

It’s because Warhol’s pop art aesthetic fits perfectly with Nars’ love of poppy pigment. Check out this Debbie Harry Eye & Cheek Palette, $105:

Inspired by Warhol’s 1980 portraits of the singer, the palette not only features some of the same eye-popping shades, but also powder made from micronised diamonds, as a tribute to Warhol’s use of ‘diamond dust’. Ritzy, huh?
