Nail It! Dior’s New Nail Polish Shades

If you’re not tapping your fingers to this season’s pastel polish beat, there’s another trend that’s more versatile (and equally fabulous) – GROSE! Yep, grey-rose. Part of Dior’s new season colour collection, Rouge Nude, these pretty pastelesque polishes tone down the pinks, farewell the blues and embrace natural browns, apricot and grey-beiges.
Inspired by the naturally gorgeous Natalie Portman, this collection of four nail shades is the perfect pal to Dior’s new Rouge Dior Lipsticks, $50 each, and the new Nude Fluid Foundation. Try Grège – the flagship colour of the collection – for a grey/beige/apricot hybrid that’s the ideal replacement for a pastel peach polish. If pink is more your thing try Charnelle, or go darker with Trench and Dune, two wearable ice-brown tones.

Haha, funny right? I had a good giggle. OK, so Kat and I have discussed this as there are so many differing opinions in terms of nail polish and tone. Personally, I always go for pink undertones as I have more of a yellow base to my skin rather than pink. Kat on the other hand is gorgeously fair with slightly more pink in her skin, so she leans towards yellow undertones. So, go the opposite of your skintone. That said, some experts believe that nail polish is an accessory, so throw the rule book out the window and go for shades you like. Hope that helps. Yx

Love the 3rd darkest , have a Sally Hansen & an Orly close to that shade and my paleish (pink toned) skin gets along well with it!

Ooh I love the last 2! I cleaned out my nail polish collection on the weekend and counted at least 10 shades of pale pink/nude. It must be a throwback to my school days, when we weren’t allowed to wear any nail polish.
