Cannes: Michelle Williams unveils new ‘do. Applause.

The only thing better than a hot chocolate on a freezing cold day is the unveiling of a sparkly new hairstyle, Primpers. Especially when it’s a HUGE hit and the whole PRIMPED office goes into overdrive about who could rock this look the best. Here’s the hairstyle we’re all emailing to our friends, boyfriends and hairdressers to get their opinion on whether it would suit…

Isn’t it stunning, Primpers? It’s taken Michelle from adorable and cute, to massively sexy, cool and someone I instantly need to be friends with. Is that fickle? Probably. Anyway, the shape of this hair is perfect for her facial structure, it’s short at the sides and back, yet long at the top and happily swept to one side. For me, when it comes to short hairstyles, this is perfection. It’s short, yet still soft and feminine. A balance that can sometimes be hard to find. I for one, know this, my first experience with short hair resulted in me being called a boy. I was ten. And devastated.

That platinum blonde colour is also something we’ve seen coming of the international runways. Many of the top models ditched their honey coloured blonde hair for more platinum shades, including Jessica Stam and most of the blonde chicks at Marc Jacobs’ S/S ’10 show. When set against a milky tone of skin, like Michelle’s here, it looks glorious. Don’t you think, Primpers?

    Yay hooray! An article on short hair! Love this look on her and the length on top would allow it to grow back pretty quickly into a short bob. You know, if people thought you were a boy and all that WHICH I’m sure they wouldn’t.

    I love this! and I think she does kind of look like Carey Mulligan here. Said it before and I’ll say it again – short hair is UNDERRATED! Massive thumbs up for Michelle

    You can not believe how excited I am about this!! Grew out a really short cut and now it’s at the length that I need it restyled and didn’t know what to do. THIS IS PERFECT!!! My only regret is that I ditched my platinum for caramel only about 10 days ago…

    I’m a HUGE short hair fan and nearly as much fan of Michelle Williams. LOVE the look on her, she looks divine. I reckon she suits the look more so than Miss Mulligan.
    tempting … tempting to book an appointment to go for the super short crop.

    I agree, she looks beautiful.
    I’ve seen a couple of side shots though and she has cleverly pinned the side lengths of hair back.
    So it’s not AS short as it looks here.

    The right short cut really makes a difference! This is really pretty and will work really well with casual clothes. And scarves, and dresses, and leather… all the stuff that’s here right now.
