How To: Basso & Brooke’s Coppery, Autumn Faces

There’s nothing like a good dose of copper to get us in the mood for Autumn, Primpers. Think the dry, brown leaves floating off trees and scattering our parks with their crunchy texture and natural hue. Pretty. Basso & Brooke went all out Autumn this year, proving that natural tones really do work wonders on one’s skin.

Here’s the look:

Stunningly natural and earthy, right Primpers? Right. Here’s how you get it…

Step 1: Prep your skin with your favourite foundation and cover any zits or red areas with concealer.

Step 2: Now, apply a translucent powder over the top to get that slightly matte finish.

Step 3: For your eyes, simply apply a gold eye shadow, like Napoleon Perdis Ultra Pearl in Champagne Gold, $24, to both your upper and lower lash line and then take the shadow up the crease of your eye lid. Quickly pop a metallic white or cream shadow into the inner corners of your eyes, too. Leave the liner and the mascara for another day.

Step 4: Next up, grab a bronzer or apricot shade of blush like Bobbi Brown Blush in Sandstone, $58 and apply it to the hollows of your cheeks. Just underneath your cheekbones. Take the colour up past your temples, slightly onto your forehead, too.

Step 5: To finish, all you need to do is apply a creamy copper shade of lipstick to your pout and you’re good to go. Some options are: YSL Rouge Volupe in Sweet Honey, $55; Dior Rouge Dior Replenishing Lipstick in Amber Camera, $48 or Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sandalwood Beige, $21.95.

So, Primpers, what do you think of this look?
