Olympics 2012: Video: Five of the Best ‘No Sweat’ Beauty Products
Fri, 10 August 2012 9:45AM
Do you get t-zone shine throughout the day?
Does your makeup get gobbled up by your face?
ARE YOU READY FOR THE ANSWER?
Hooray! You’ve come to the right place.
Keeping in theme with the Olympic coverage here on PRIMPED, I thought now would be the perfect time for some ‘no sweat’ makeup tips to help your makeup stay in place all day long. Yep, shine is kept under wraps, your eye makeup doesn’t crease or disappear altogether and your makeup doesn’t slip down your cheeks.
Here are my suggestions…
And here are my notes…
- No Sweat Prod #1: Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Eye Pencil in Smoke, $46

Best invention ever! Be sure to apply it where your lashes meet the fleshy part of your eyelid – not directly on the fleshy part – to ensure it stays put.
- No Sweat Prod #2: Clarins Wonder Waterproof Mascara, $42
Sure, waterproof mascara might have its critics (harder on your lashes, a pain to remove) but I think it’s a brilliant option if you tend to sweat, cry or have mascara flaking down your cheeks.
- No Sweat Prod #3: Revlon ColorStay Eye Shadow Quad, $25.95
If your eyes look made up, your whole face looks made up. So, apply a long-wear eye shadow that’s sure to withstand the test of time. This one promises 16-hours of hold. Amazing!
- No Sweat Prod #4: MAC Blot-Film, $21
Blot film is to faces what dry shampoo is to hair. GET ON IT! These little pieces of paper soak up excess oil and are great for everyday touch ups.
- No Sweat Prod #5: theBalm Sexy Mama Translucent Powder, $27.95

The ultimate no sweat product, translucent powder sets your makeup and prevents shine attacks during the day. LOVE!
Tell me Primpers,
What are your no sweat makeup secrets?
Do you use any of these products?
*Apologies for the moments of unsyncronicity (yep, that’s a word) in the video. I’ve tried numerous times to fix it but my silly laptop is playing up. Will be better by next week!

I really like Australis Fresh & Flawless powder as a light foundation on those humid, sticky days. It’s a beauty.
Blotting film is a staple for me. What a wonderful invention! There’s tons to choose from on Sasa.com.

I use The Body Shop’s blotting papers. They are great. A lot smaller than those MAC ones, but they do the job. Also love Jurlique’s Citrus Silk Powder as a finishing powder. Come the afternoon I am still shine free.
I’ll be on holiday in Carins in November and I’m thinking I might have to employ some Waterproff Mascara for the occasion.
