Video: Five of the Best Buys For Guys
Fri, 31 August 2012 8:36AM
It’s Father’s Day on Sunday (quick, rush out and grab a gift) and to celebrate our scruffy male mates I’ve put together a list of the top five beauty products for guys. Be it a last minute gift for dad, a unisex fragrance or a subtle hint to spruce up your man, here’s my pick of the blokey bunch…
And here are the readable notes for those of you unable to hit play…
1. The Unisex Scent: Acqua di Parma Blu Meditterraneo Bergamotto di Calabria, $130

I love a unisex scent. The rich male-dominated notes make me feel sexy while the lighter notes remind everyone that I’m actually a girl. It’s brilliant. This gorgeous fragrance has notes of bergamot, ginger, cedar wood and citrus that will transport you to Italy in one single sniff.
2. The Travelling Man’s Essential: Aveda Men Pure-Formance Grooming Essentials Kit, $29.95
Send your man packing with only the best with this too-cute mini essentials kit from Aveda. The little box holds a shampoo and conditioner, grooming clay and aftershave to keep him clean, fresh and perfectly groomed on his travels.
3. The Skin Perfector: Clinique Skin Supplies For Men Dark Spot Corrector, $62

Skin tone correctors aren’t just for us ladies, men want to look their best too. This treatment product works to reduce pigmentation, dark spots and other blemishes that affect your skintone, while also adding much needed hydration to male skin.
4. The Cheap and Cheery: Nivea 3-in-1 Body Wash, $4.99
Here’s a subtle way to give your dad a hand in the grooming stakes – a scented body wash. With wonderful male smells that he’ll be happy to bathe in, these 3-in-1 shower gels clean hair, face and body in one go.
5. The Perfect Gift Pack: The Aromatherapy Company Man Gift Pack, $24.95
If you’re a gift pack kind of gal look no further than this adorable little kit from The Aromatherapy Company. Made in New Zealand, this aromatherapy-packed kit has a facial cleanser, scrub and loofah in a little plastic pouch. Too cute.
Tell me Primpers…
What are you getting your dad for Father’s Day?
Any of these take your fancy?

Unfortunately none of the men in my life are into anything skin care. Altho, my boyfie uses dry shampoo… I got him the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Brit and he was thrilled!
My Pa is in his 70′s and a retired plumber, so a big bag of mixed nuts, some peanut brittle and a silly card will keep him happy for a while… even tho he needs an ear and nose hair trimmer, he won’t…

My boyfriend uses skincare and Clinique’s line for men is a favourite. Dad on the other hand is too old-school and blokey for all this skin stuff. Like Louweez, he’s super thrilled with a bag of mixed nuts or some chocolates!
