If the eyes are the windows to the soul then dang Primpettes, you’d better be paying attention to those curtains!

See, the best way to offset healthy, bright eyes is with the best ‘cara. Masses of it.

One wand wielding makeup magician is Napoleon Perdis, and according to him, women require a ‘wardrobe’ of different lash enhancing options to achieve top looks.

Kylie Minogue

Kylie gives good (natural) lash.

Here are our top mascara must-haves. When combined with a balanced diet of minimal eye shadow and a killer eyelash curler, you are guaranteed to notice a weight gain in lashes.

Double Duty:
“Like a miracle bra for your lashes!” Napoleon exclaims of his Mesmer-Eyes Mascara, $35.The two-sided comb has one side that boosts volume and coats lashes while the finer side separates and grabs even the finest hairs.

Pro Tip: Using the wide comb, coat lashes from underneath for dramatic effects. Repeat with the fine comb to separate lashes, zigzagging the wand in the direction of the natural growth.

Stress Free;
“Finally, mascara that you don’t have to worry about”, enthuses Bobbi Brown of Bobbi Brown No Smudge Mascara, $46. The innovative mascara formula delivers multiple benefits, lengthening, strengthening and resisting the urge to smudge at the most emotional of moments. Longwearing and water-resistant, it won’t flake – therefore no good to eat with hot chips.

Pop Goes the Peepers!
Pop Beauty Lash Wow, $34.95, from KIT Cosmetics has a seriously thickening and strengthening formula that delivers a list of good bits; long, glossy, plump and perfect. The special comb applicator is engineered for maximum effect, and is totally hypoallergenic and flatly refuses to crumble. Or eat its broccoli.

Extend Yourself:
Send your lashes to new heights with Napoleon Perdis Madame Beyond, $33. The hourglass shaped wand extends even the wimpiest of hairs to billowing proportions. Its rich formula is loaded with polymer fibers to lengthen and stretch the lashes.

Growth Spurt:
Rimmell London Lash Excelerator, $17.95, (available February) has serious brains behind its beauty; proactively strengthening lashes every time it’s worn means that each application is working towards longer, stronger lashes. A true investment for the future.

The breakthrough formula incorporating the exclusive Grow-Lash Complex (kept in a vault alongside the ‘Seven Herbs and Spices’, so you know it’s top-secret) promotes the appearance of beautifully long, remarkably strong lashes.

Work it Girl:
Like a personal trainer for your lashes, Napoleon Perdis Madame Prep, $33 contains nylon fibres to beef up lashes and further define and contour the eyes. Thanks to a blend of natural waxes, (“Thanks natural waxes!”), this lash prepping wonder builds body without clumping and instantly enhances your flutter factor.

I’m looking forward to Rimmel’s Lash Excelerator! :) I am currently using a Georgio Armani’s Eyes To Kill and it’s pretty awesome! I don’t like the lengthening mascara with the fibres because they tend to go flaky really quickly.

FYI – I’ve already spotted that Rimmel one in Priceline (Perth city locations)

    Interested Primpers, take note!

I love L’oreal Volumise mascara, (my lashes are long so it gives them extra volume.) Also, it’s really easy to remove at night so it’s double joy.

I love australis lash me mascara for every day use. It’s cheap and doesnt clump!! It doesnt make the lashes insanely awesome or anything but it defines the eyes really well and its sooo easy to get off.

I alternate between Benefit Bad Gal Lash and Too Faced Lash Injection. I like my lashes to look long and natural and these two with their lovely bushy brushes do the trick for me.

I can vouch for mesmer-eyes, I ADORE that mascara. I bought a Revlon one recently, and regretted it as it’s just not as good!
