Found: The Darling of all spas.

Pampering, we all love it and deserve it but from experience, I’ve always saved my pretty pennies for when I’m overseas to book in for a spa treatment or two. I love Paris for it’s decadent spa fit outs and New York with its sea of celebrity-approved, fancy-but-affordable skin clinics situated on every second corner. But all that’s about to change. If you’re in Sydney, or planning a trip to Sydney, I suggest you free up some space in your calendar and pay a visit to The Spa at the new Darling Hotel.
The treatment list reads a mile long, but there’s literally something for everyone with short fifteen minute beauty treatments to full scale four and a half hour pampering sessions, but the real hook for me is the body wraps and polishes with my vote going to the Amrit Hamam Body Polish in the private hamam.
Oh and if you’re keen to turn the luxury up a notch, there’s a ‘VIP Upgrade Service’ with a chauffeur pick up and a glass of champagne or fruit cocktail en-route to The Spa. Talk about living the dream.
Here’s a little teaser to see exactly what I’m talking about…
In the meantime, you can keep up the good work with a weekly at-home facial. Right now, I’m loving the Manuka Facial that’s beyond easy. After cleansing, all you need to do is apply a teaspoon of honey (use the rounded back of the spoon to apply it) and leave it to work its magic on the skin for ten minutes before rinsing with warm water.
Clever fact: Manuka honey boasts seriously great anti-bacterial, antiseptic properties that makes it ideal for problem skin that’s prone to breakouts and inflammation. If you’re new to Manuka Honey, make sure you look for the UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) which indicates the antibacterial strength of the honey.

Oh, I love pampering days! There’s nothing more restful or indulgent than a couple of hours at a quiet, relaxing spa…but like you, I rather spend my pennies overseas than here, where you get so much more bang for your buck!
I tend to do the odd maintenance facial and/or massage at least once a month…but I love doing a little facial at home from time to time. If I’ve got time to spare I do the whole hog; otherwise, I do cleanse, exfoliate, deep clean, and mask (while multitasking with deep conditioning my hair or washing my make up brushes), then finish with the toner/serum/moisturiser routine.

I have never had a day at the spa but I have had some amazing 1-hour treatments. One included a massage and a bath in rosewater overlooking Bondi Beach. It was incredible.
I would love to go to the Darling but I can’t justify the cost at the moment. It looks amazing though!
I do a DIY facial weekly and I love it. I also do a treatment in my hair at the same time to save time.

An ex of mine once treated me to a couple’s spa in Yarra Valley for a massage, body scrub, facial and a soak in two different baths. It was a lot of fun and really relaxing. My god what I wouldn’t give for a relaxing bath… I hate not having a bath…..

Ohhhh i would love to go to a spa. I will definitely need it after this week while hubby is away and im alone with bub. I wish i could pamper myself at home more, but by the time bub is asleep im too exhausted. Ive been meaning to do a mani/pedi for the last 3 weeks, but have been to tired to :/
I do love massages and going to the hairdressers, but really struggle to relax. Im just sitting there thinking of everything that needs to be done.

It looks gorgeous but I’m guessing it’s in Sydney so a bit too far from me.

This place has the most exorbitant rates I’ve seen, and it’s only in the re-vamped casino. $200 for a facial is outrageous. Nice to see a re-hashing of a press release/advertisement Primped!

Oooh that looks ah-mazing! A bit of pampering is definately a great from of picke-me-up. The prices do seem a little bit exorbitant though for this particular place.

This looks lovely and the treatments look amazing. A little bit out of my price range at the moment though.

A whole day at the spa is too much for me. But I do love spending an hour or two getting pampered. I love massages!
