Like It Or Leave It: Kristen Stewart’s Braided ‘Do At Snow White & The Huntsman Premiere
Thu, 21 June 2012 4:38PM
Admittedly, I’ve never been a die-hard Twilight fan, but character and film choices aside, I salute Kristen Stewart for staying true to her individual style. I love that she isn’t afraid to wear converse sneakers with a frock (gasp!) and hasn’t been sucked into the Fake Tan and False Lashes Vortex that seems to have consumed most of her Hollywood peers.
Which brings me to my next topic: KS’s wispy-looking braided up ‘do at the Snow White and the Huntsman premiere the other night in Sydney’s Bondi Junction.
Now, while it looks a tad messy from the front, if you look closely, you’ll see there’s a lot of magic happening in the back in the form of a loose braid. In fact, if I were to instruct you on how to create the look yourself, I’d suggest you start by teasing the hair all over before sectioning it into two at the ear level. Then, all you need to do is start the braid working from the nape of the neck, up towards the crown. The beauty of this look is that you want the braid to be relaxed and soft, so ditch the tail comb and use your fingers to select pieces to pull into the braid. Once you’re finished with the braid, all you need to do then is pull the front section back toward the crown, joining it to the tail end of the braid to form a messy bun. Are you with me?
Now, personally, although I wouldn’t swap the braid for anything, as a fellow brunette, I think KS could have benefited from a subtle side part (not too dissimilar from the style the model’s sported at the Whitney Eve show back at MBFA 2012) to create more definition at the front.

Thoughts?
Are you keen to try the back braid?
How do you feel about Kristen Stewart?

I love this! I have to disagree, I love the texture and how subtle the braid is. And her makeup is also fab!!
Now if only she would smile once in a while…

Its a very strong and abstract look, however in person itd probably look unreal. I love all the blending thats gone into here eyes.

I think it would have looked better as a tighter style. It looks a bit loose and messy to me.

Cool style but it doesn’t seem to flatter her angular face, or maybe its just a bad angle in the pic…

I really love this look. It looks great from front and back. I love the height it gives to the hair and I think it realloy suits her. I’d definately wear this style.

I really like this look, both her hair and makeup. A real smile would make it perfection.

Such a gleamy smoky eyes on both women suits their outfit, its hauntingly sexy I’d say.
