Taylor Swift’s Wonderstuck fragrance bottle revealed
Mon, 18 July 2011 10:09AM
Remember when Taylor Swift ticked ‘release a fragrance’ off her epic to-do list? (You don’t? Let me fill you in here.) Well, she may have put ink to paper almost a year ago, but as we know, creating a fragrance takes time, Primps, so the deets (read: bottle shot, name and notes rundown) have only just seen the light of day.
I wonder whether The Biebs is a little worried about the October release of Tayls’ scent, huh? Huh!
THE NAME: Wonderstuck. The inspiration behind the name of Eau de Swift actually came from Tayls’ song Enchanted. For those who aren’t a fan of her sweet country tunes, let me introduce you to said inspiring line: “I’m wonderstruck, blushing all the way home.” It’s cutsie, just like TS, I reckon.
THE NOTES: You’ve got a delicious blend of freesia, green tea, apple blossom, raspberry and dewberry as the top notes, Hawaiian White Hibiscus, hibiscus and honeysuckle chilling in the middle, and musk, peach and sandalwood as the base, with the scent of vanilla lingering throughout. And that, of course, makes it one tasty gourmand floral fragrance, Primps. (Don’t worry if it sounds too sickly for your tastes, though – the fragrance is aimed at her ridiculously huge fan base i.e. those aged 12 to 34 years.)
THE BOTTLE: It’s purple, it has gold trimming, it has charms – it’s very Taylor Swift.
Primps,
What do you think of Eau de Swift?
Do you like the sound of the fragrance?
Do you like the look of the bottle?
Is it a fragrance you’re interested in trying/buying?

I’m becoming to get a bit over the celebrity scents. It seems that a celebrity is releasing one every month now and I’m beginning to wonder what happened to the perfumers of old….

Feel the same way – am sick to death of celebrity scents, and not just because they all smell like disgusting lollies. Why not just leave perfume to the big fashion houses and perfumeries of old?

Is it just me or is that a lots of differenct ‘notes’ for one perfume? TayTay is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, I probably won’t be able to resist having a little sniff when it comes out. Also what’s the charm on the right supposed to be?

It sounds like an interesting scent, but I’m not a fan of the bottle at all. And agree I’m over the celeb scents.

Sounds a bit strong. Agree with the comments about celeb fragrances. Why bother?

@MayaS I think its a bird cage
I’m not really a fan of the bottle design, the charms don’t really match the lid nor does the font match anything. It’s trying to be target sophisticated buyers whilst also tweens.. Doesn’t really work for me.
I’ll definitely have a whiff of it when it comes out though, I love Taylor but probably won’t be buying this.

I think the bottle is really hideous!!! The perfume may smell good….will need to spray it.
I wish celebs would just stick to singing or acting, not releasing all these other things. Its getting silly now. What do these celebs know about making a perfume.

I love all of those scents, but I’m not sure about them all together….? I’ll have to go and have a sniff for myself, but I too am a little over celebrity scents/fashion/jewellery etc etc

I’ll take a whiff the next time that I’m in a department store. So far, I don’t like any perfumes by celebreties because most of them smell sickly sweet. I prefer the classic frangrances from the old fashion brands like Chanel, Dior, YSL, Givenchy, Prada, Versace, Estee Lauder etc. These iconic brands know what they are doing.

It seems cute and very TS but I agree, too many celeb scents.

I’m with the other girls about over celebs scents.
They are so many that I lost count. I hope it will not affect the quality or scents. I will just stick to my few favour perfume.
Sorry!!

The perfume sounds like it might have a really nice scent, since those are some of my favourite notes when it comes to perfumes…but I’m completely put off by the bottle, I don’t think it’s attractive at all.

I like the name & the gold, but I am just over celeb scents. Too much and I would rather wear something unique than something a celeb has been paid to “create”/endorse…

I am not that into buying celeb perfumes, i mean i will if it’s nice but i don’t go out of my way to purchase.

@SydneyRose= you echo my thoughts. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

You probably want to update the typo in the heading and again in the article calling it “wonderstuck” (missing the R in stRuck).
I was really confused by the name until I saw the correct spelling on the bottle in the picture!

The bottle looks kinda tacky. I wonder what it smells like.

I love Tay Swift, but irritates me a bit that she called her fragrance that.. Apparently she used ‘wonderstruck’ in the song ‘Enchanted’ as it is about her crushing on the guy from Owl City and he especially loves that word..

The bottle is kind of cute. It reminds me of the lolita bottle. But I think the lolita bottle is nicer.
