We Officially Dedicate This Week to Blake Lively. See 3 of Her Latest Beauty Looks While Promoting Savages

It’s been a big week for Gossip Girl‘s Blake Lively. Not only was she named the face of the soon-to-be-released Gucci Première fragrance, but she’s been on red carpet duty promoting her new film Savages. And dazzling the crowds (read: me) while she’s at it.
First up, here she was at the Los Angeles premiere earlier this week, joining Coco Rocha and Salma Hayek on the red rug.
Wowzers. This girl is taking the word bombshell to a whole new level, with a whole lot of erm… décolletage on display. I’m glad that she chose to skip her signature textured beach waves and opt for something a little more screen siren. The Veronica Lake-esque waves paired with luscious fire engine red lips (and, even though you can’t see it coordinating nail polish,) is pure glamour. She’s also chosen to add a little white eyeliner along the waterline to make her eyes look both whiter and brighter, with the help of well-placed false lashes. The white eyeliner trick is an oldie, but a goodie, Primpettes. Try Kit Cosmetics Eyeliner Pencil in White, $19.95, Kit Cosmetics, and apply it along the lower inner rim.
Next, she visited Good Morning America looking like she meant business in a red power suit.
As per usual, she has the bronzed makeup base down pat, which she teamed with a pretty pink lip and a tousled updo, save for a few strands to frame her face. Simple, yet classic and super easy to recreate, Primpettes. But most of all I love the way that she has worked that shimmering wash of gold shadow, with the perfectly placed pop on the inner V to really make her baby blues standout.
Another golden oldie trick Primpettes, and one you should replicate immediately. You can use an eyeshadow like Blake here in gold, pink or cream, or a shimmering highlighter and then dab it in a sideways V, extending just a tad along your upper and lower lash line.
And last but not least, she brought out the big guns last night at the New York premiere, looking lovely in a lemon yellow Gucci number. The fishtail braid.
As you know, Primpettes, the fishtail braid is my hairstyle du jour, and looks beyond awesome on thick and fine-haired beauties alike. She’s also added a little extra something-something with an embellished hair tie.
In case you missed it, here’s the how-to video on recreating this baby step-by-step at home. Blake’s is in a ponytail, not pulled down to the side, so before beginning your braid, backcomb your hair at the roots for a little extra volume and pull into a high ponytail. Then braid away!
There you have it, Primpettes. Three smashing, yet extremely different beauty looks for you to take for a test run.
What do you think of Blake’s latest red carpet run? Love these looks?
Got a favourite? Have you tried the white eyeliner tip?
How do you feel about putting your décolletage on display?
