Newbies: Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil with Rosehip

Thu, 2 June 2011 5:03PM

Come 4.30pm, we chicks in the PRIMPED office tend to go a little bonkers. And by bonkers, I mean many, many random, silly, loopy conversations are had.

Today’s topic? Sleeping, and more specifically, how sleeping on our sides and tummies is likely to cause not-so-awesome damage to our boobs and chest area in the future. Yes, we spoke about the Décolleté Pad and Frownies, but most of us weren’t super keen on the thought of hitting the sack with such things stuck to our bodies.

It was then that I spotted this bad boy sitting on my desk: Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil with Rosehip, $9.95. (He’s sitting pretty on the right, by the way.)

Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil with Rosehip

Now, I don’t know if his ears were burning or what, but it was mighty convenient for him to snag my attention like that.

WHY?

Well, he’s pretty much just thing you want to be applying to your chest on a nightly basis if you’re attempting to use your regular expensive creams sparingly (or if they cause you to breakout), and aforementioned sticky things certainly do not float your boat.

You see, this newbie from Palmer’s not only contains their usual cocoa butter goodness, but another PRIMPED favourite – rosehip oil. And unless this is the first post you’ve ever read on this site, you’ll know that oils are insanely nourishing, soften and smooth the skin pretty much instantly, are beautifully lightweight, and are also able to penetrate deep into the skin.

This is exactly what your chest needs to stay looking lovely and young for as long as possible.

OTHER AWESOME THINGS THIS PRODUCT DOES:

  • It helps to correct uneven skin tone
  • It fades scars
  • It minimises the look of stretchmarks
  • It stops skin from ageing prematurely
  • It doesn’t stain your clothes
  • Is not greasy in any shape or form
  • It makes for a beautiful bath oil (if you decide to take one)

Wowzers. There are a lot of good points right there, Primps. And maybe, just maybe, if all us chicks who call PRIMPED HQ our daily stomping ground start using this wonderfully scented newbie, STAT, our chests might just say looking like this forever and ever:

Miranda Kerr

We’re allowed to dream, right? Damn straight we are.

Primps,

Do you worry about your chest area ageing prematurely?
Do you apply your skincare products to your décolletage?
Would you be interested in applying an oil such as this on a nightly basis?

I already have this oil and it’s lovely..I especially like the rose fragrance.

I always use the same skin-care products on my face as I do my decolletage.

Ooh! Can’t wait to try this beauty out! I find that normal body lotions tend to make my chest area break out, yet if I don’t moisturise it gets too dry (so hard to find the right balance)… sounds like this product will do the trick!

I dont have any fear of boob lines (you need boobs first) but my recent sleeping position to avoid daggy pillow lines and extra crinckles in my face is getting just plain silly. Soon I will sleeping standing up like a horse.

Oooou Me Too Me Too, I love rosehip oil, i used to use a cheap one and thought it wasn’t that good, but now I toss between Trilogy and Bloom. I HATE the smell of cocoa butter so have always steered away from Palmers, but THIS has me interested… thanks Chez!

Palmer’s cocoa butter oil is so good, and rosehip is great as well, so to combine them is the best idea ever!!!! :)

I couldn’t help but notice on the packaging that it says ‘rosehip fragrance’. Is this correst?
Sorry to burst any rosehip bubbles but could this oil by palmers just be an attempt to tap into the rosehip oil market? skeptic much? ;)

The “Noiresses” are currently sampling this product. I’ve been using it for one week now on my hands – absorbs quickly, smells lovely and has made a remarkable difference to the smoothness of my (Mummy) hands. I do a lot of washing, kids, dishes, clothes so my hands have been neglected. I’m also using this oil for my knees and elbows which are dark and rough (normal for mixed race and dark skin tones).
