In 1968, NYC dermatologist, Norman Orentreich and Estee Lauder were making pore history in a little cafe in Park Avenue, working together to develop a dermatologist-Okayed cosmetic skincare line. Many lattes later the Three-Step Skin-Care system was born. You know the rest of the story: It's that big, successful one involving a massive range of colour cosmetics, suncare, body care, fragrance and a ridiculously successful men's range. Stars who worship at the counter of Clinique include Christina Applegate, Scarlett Johansson and Rihanna - who's sang a tune for their Happy perfume. The Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion is skincare gold (well actually the shade is closer to buttercup yellow, but let's not be too literal here.) More recently, their wild new mascara, Lash Power, which doesn't run, nor smudge and lasts through tears/gym/rain and swims, has been causing a big commotion at the counter. Somewhere around the time we snaffled our first kiss, we started dipping our grubby little fingers into older sister's Clinique stash - and really, we've been addicted ever since.
