In 1910, Dr. Oscar Troplowitz took over Biersdorf (the Nivea company) in Hamburg Germany and in 1911 invented wonder product, Nivea Creme. Today, Nivea's range includes everything from deodorant to mens products and sunscreen. The beautiful people (Gisele Bundchen and Karen Mulder pop into mind) swear by this stuff. So does Ashlee Simpson. The classic creme in a blue tin is a wonder worker on rough cuticles, elbows, heels and other areas of very dry skin that need a reminder to hold onto moisture. Plus it's nice enough not to offend rashy baby butts or faces traumatised by razor burn, either.
