Need a good Sydney hairdresser to go from brunette to blonde (11 posts)

So i was blonde for about 4 years but went brunette after having my daughter. Im sick of it now and am looking at going blonde again.

Do any of you sydney girls know of a good HD thats good with drastic colour changes?

I had a look on the vogue forums and Wink and Element had a lot of recommendations. Has anyone been there before?

  • Hi Sprinkles, I am going to do the same thing and have booked an appointment with Wink in October. I went in the other day and spoke with the hairdresser, she gave me great advise and said it is best to do on a day off as it is a lengthy process. I have heard so many good things about Wink so I am really excited. Will let you know how I go.

  • Sprinkles, the Hair Angel is a one woman salon. Her salon, her reputation, her talent. She is brilliant. She is in Rozelle, I drive 50 minutes in peak hour traffic to go to her.

  • the ones suggested sound really good! When i was doing the same thing (except had been brunette all my life) going to blonde i went to toni and guy at Lane Cove and she was really good :) and definitely a long process!! took like 5 hours the first time! :S ...but totally worth it.. ;)

  • I found this thread when i was looking to go blonde (from medium brown with balayage) and thought i would let you know how i went - i tried a consultation with Wink but was really disappointed, perhaps i was unlucky with the stylist i got but she was extremely unhelpful. i know there is a limit to what they can do in one go, but you know how some hairdressers just want to tell you what you CAN'T have.

so then I tried the Hair Angel and she was AMAZING! thanks for the tip there. she actually listened to me and gave me what i wanted, a big transformation and a beautiful ashy tone. she was also really quick as it is a home salon so she wasn't juggling 4 customers at a time.

  • There you go... The Hair Angel is just that, an Angel... I'm very pleased for you Ilou1981. I haven't been to see her for a while.... But my long straggly hair needs to get the chop...

  • Hi I used to go to Element for years but all the good folk have left. Emily at Atlantis in Paddo is amazing. I fly from Hobart to Sydney to her as I can't bear to see anyone else while I'm living down here! The use O&M products too which I liove.
