How to wear lippie and make your lips look fuller.

I have thin lips, is there any way I can pull off some bold colour?
Nothing says business and party like a pop of colour and you needn’t have been born with an Angelina Jolie pout to make it work. You see the fullness of your lips has nothing to do with how great it looks instead, it’s how you apply the colour and what you wear it with that matters most. And when it comes to picking a lipstick colour, our vote goes to fuchsia and berry-pink hues for summer.
Here’s how to rock out a lippie in every colour with confidence.
1. Line and define. The humble lip liner really doesn’t get the kudos it deserves. Not only does it keep lippie lasting longer, but it’s a pain free way to make lips look that little bit fuller in a flash. Trace along your natural lip line then, as you reach the cupids bow, take the liner slightly above the top of the natural lip line to exaggerate the bow. Too easy. Try La Biosthetique Belavance Automatic Pencil For Lips With Brush, $33.
2. Highlight the bow: It’s the point that the eye is drawn to first, so it pays to show it some love. Blending a liquid highlighter (a silver or gold eyeshadow will also do the trick) on the top of the cupids bow, up to the base of the nose, is a clever way to bounce light off the skin which makes the lips look even fuller. We love Kevyn Aucoin Liquid Shimmer, $45. Combine it with a hint of gloss on the centre of the top and bottom lip and before you know it, you’ll have strangers on the bus commenting on how pillow-y and plump your pout looks.
3. Keep it simple: A bold lippie is a powerful statement on its own, so let your lips do all the talking by keeping the rest of your makeup, like the eyes and cheeks clean and simple. Try a slick of liner, a coat of mascara and a hint of blush. Give Rimmel London Volume Flash The Max Bold curves Mascara, $15.50, a whirl.
4. Bold brows to match: Thick brows are not only youthful, but they balance out the rest of the face which is important in keeping the cheeks and lips looking defined and strong. Spend a few extra minutes every morning filling in your brows with a liner like Estee Lauder Brow Shaping Pencil, $35, and you can virtually get away with wearing no eye makeup at all.
Now Nicole, all you need to do is pick your shade du jour and run with it.

My mouth is an AWFUL shape. No way to lippie. I’m sorry but it’s not true that the fullness of your lips doesn’t matter.

I love the tip about keeping your cupid’s bow less defined, it really does make your lips look that little bit fuller.

I don’t have the thickest lips, they are quite average but on the thin side, especially the top lip.
while I do think gloss makes lips look a bit fuller, it doesn’t work miracles. I find a combination of liner and gloss helps, as well as ensuring that the lips are always moisturised.
