Video: The Week in Beauty: Decleor, Applying False Lashes and Solid Perfume

Happy Friday, Primpers!
I can’t believe that we’re at the end of another week here at PRIMPED HQ. A few of my highlights? The poll, where you divulged how many lip products you are lugging around, Kat’s toe stretchers, and also the stage makeup I wore to my dancing competition earlier in the week.
Without further ado, here’s the video …
And in case you can’t tune in just now, here are the notes …
Beauty Highlight #1: I just had to give you a sneak peek at this new beautiful and delicate necklace from Chloé called Bianca. When you open it it’s actually a solid perfume containing Chloé’s signature EDP fragrance. For those of you who haven’t worn a solid perfume before, I’ll be talking a little bit more about them and how to wear them early next week, along with more details on this beauty, so stay tuned. It’s available this Sunday, 25th November, $75, from department stores.
Beauty Highlight #2: Speaking of Chloé (and the delightful bag I bought in Italy), this next beauty highlight goes back to the PRIMPED Poll I spoke about earlier in the week, about how many lip products we carry around. I have to show you the new Mini Borne Naked Handbag Liner, $19.95, Borne Naked – I find it hard to keep all of my makeup products in my case, and this is perfect because you can see through it, too. As for the new products I’ve found, it’s a sneak peek at the new Maybelline Baby Lips Loves Color, $3.95. They come in four shades, rich in vitamin E so they’re really hydrating, leaving your lips silky soft. They’re not on available until January, so we’ll bring you more info then.
Beauty Highlight #3: I tried a Decleor calming facial earlier in the week, which was so lovely and, uh, calming, that I fell asleep pretty much throughout the whole treatment. The idea of a calming facial is to provide comfort to your skin and is ideal for those who have any redness or irritation. They used a rich and beautiful blend of essential oils designed to leave your skin glowing.
Beauty Highlight #4: My favourite celebrity beauty look of the week was Diane Kruger with the rolled hairstyle we spotted on her at the opening of a Paris boutique. We started to see the rolled hair trend emerge on the S/S ’13 runways and it quickly spread to the red carpet, with Marion Cotillard and Keira Knightley. For more twisted ‘dos, you must check out our new gallery.
Beauty Highlight #5: My next highlight was my dancing competition, and you might remember the blog I wrote on wearing makeup products suitable for the stage. As I mentioned I wear false eyelashes, and for those of you who aren’t confident in applying them, I’ve been doing it for years and find that if I put a mirror on my lap, I’m looking down at my eyes and find that I can get them to sit perfectly, as you can look down at your reflection to follow the shape of your eyes.
