I quite like this tinted moisturiser. It’s a good colour for my pale skin (I usually find tinted moisturisers to be too dark) and it’s not too oily.

It’s not overly hydrating, so if you have very dry skin this isn’t for you. But it did the job for me. An improvement would be higher SPF.

I bought this at David Jones one day after a sales assistant recommended it to me/forced me in to buying it and I absolutely love it! It’s actually amazing! It goes on smoothly, blends really well and doesn’t feel oily or sticky on my face. Unlike other tinted moisturisers I have tried, like Hissyfit Saving Face, it hasn’t made me break out once. Happy days!

I’m quite pale and use the light/medium shade which gives a sheer-medium coverage which is great for evening out my skin tone and covering up any redness without looking like I’m wearing heaps of makeup. It also provides a great base for concealer for any problem areas.

After cleansing I apply rosehip oil and then the Balm Shelter Face Tint and it stays on my face all day long. I don’t set it with powder and I usually just follow with cream blush, mascara and lip balm. I have only used this in Winter though, so I’m not sure how it would hold up on a hot day.

It smells a little bit like sunscreen, which I quite like, but the scent fades really quickly anyway. My only suggestion for improvement would be a higher SPF.

I really like this tinted moisturiser. It provides enough coverage without looking like you are wearing any make-up. However, you may also want to use concealer as it doesn’t cover everything. I agree with the other reviews in that a higher SPF would be very welcome as you still need to use a sunscreen underneath. It’s not too expensive and the packaging is very handy, especially when carting it around in your gym bag. I also love that The Balm is against animal testing…got to love that!
