The pigmentation and stay power of this product is amazing! It can be sheered out or easily built up to the desired intensity. The 24hr Color Tattoos also blend, well which surprised me. They can be applied however you choose to apply regular eyeshadow, although I suggest using a synthetic brush to minimize any damage to your brushes. The product is easily applied with a ring finger for a quick and simple application.

I’ve been using ‘Bad to the Bronze’ as an all over colour applied with my finger as an everyday look. If I’m feeling fancy I’ll then layer regular powder eyeshadows on top to deepen the look. This can help the worst of eyeshadows to last longer. They’re a great base!

great product, comes in a good variety of shades.
lasts all day on me, and doesn’t budge until I remove it with an oil based eye makeup remover.

I have the frosty white one that I use as a base for my other eyeshadows or alone.
a good dupe, or even better than MAC Paintpots!

Great product, as good as the MAC paintpots for a fraction of the price. I have bad to the bronze and its great as a base for a smoky eye. Doesnt crease, fade or smudge.

I have a confession to make. Within a week of these being released in Australia I had purchased every colour. I started out getting three. The only three colours left in the store as the stock had been nearly picked clean. I took them home, had a play, and two days later I was on the hunt for the rest of them. Why? They are amazing!
I have trouble believing something so good can be so affordable. But it really is. The packaging is great. A little, round glass pot with a black lid. I store these upside down so I can see what colour I’m after easily. The 4g of product in each pot is a lot once you realise how little needed per application. The formula is a wonderful, velvety, creamy consistency. I prefer to apply it to my eyelids with a brush, but if I’m in a rush I can use my finger and it works just as well. The shadow glides on smoothly and sets quite quickly, so you really need to make sure it’s it in right spot as it doesn’t budge once set. It’s easy to apply a sheer wash of colour using a small amount of product, or build up the intensity by adding more layers. While I generally use a primer with all my eyeshadows, I have found that I don’t need one with these beauties. Once that colour sets, even my oily lids can’t budge it.
The colour tattoo’s are great as eye colour on their own, but mostly I’ve been using them as a base for my powder shadows. They are great at adding extra intensity to the colours I apply over them. They also help the powder shadows last longer. Since the colour tattoo doesn’t budge or fade, neither does anything I put over it. Tough as Taupe has become my go to neutral shadow, and Too Cool is a fantastic highlighter for the inner corner of my eye.
I haven’t tested Maybelline’s 24hour wear claim, but they certainly do last all day and well into the evening. Despite the long wear claim they still wash off easily, which is important to me as I don’t want to be wearing something that is a struggle to remove, especially around the delicate eye area.
Now that I’ve fallen in love with this product, I have to ask; Maybelline, will you be bring out more colours? Please?

Personally i think these color tattoo are wonderful. I own tough as taupe and bold gold pots. I find both colors have such long lasting staying power. They last me the day through and only fade a little bit. They are creamy and very easy to apply with your eyeshadow brush. Because they are creamy they easily spread across your eye lid. I have also found they are easy to blend your other eyeshadow colour with, say if you want ombre eyes, and you can easily add a liquid liner over the top of them.
They work wonderful to do a smokey eye with.
I love the vibrant blues and purples that are available and ill be looking to purchase them soon. Highly recommend.

I have this eye shadow in Gold, Taupe and Pomegranate and I was so impressed by it. It is the longest eye shadow that i have ever used, and i have tried a lot! They are smooth, creamy, and work well. The result is a soft wash of color with a glowy, dewy sheen. No glitter or crazy fallout, no mess, no fuss. I would highly recommend these as they are so affordable.

i have this in tough as taupe (matte)
    Pros:
Easy to blend and apply to the eyes
    Very bold colour selection
Can easily control colour intensity by how much you apply

    Cons:
Will still crease on oily eyelids
The colour selection isn’t the biggest
Only one matte shade available :(

These shadows are a standout because of their blendability. I find them easiest to apply with my fingers, and prefer the lighter colours as some of them are just too vibrant for my style!

These are incredible for the price. They really are very similar to the mac paint pots. I use them mainly as a base, I have 8 of them! The white shade is quite sheer and shimmery, asphalt, bronze, and gold are all metallic and very pigmented, and the teal, green, purple and orange are more of a creamy texture with slight shimmer, and are buildable to an opaque finish.

Maybelline have really outdone themselves this year with the release of the Tattoo Eye Shadow. I got them in Bad to the Bronze and Tough as Taupe because I find them versatile for everyday use. These stay on for ages and I’ll happily replace these from my current MAC paint pots as they’re cheaper.

I just hope Maybelline brings out their Autumn collection to Australia soon – from their US website, they look divine!

This is a great value for money cream shadow, as you can often get them for under $10… whereas other brands like MAC or Benefit sell theirs for $30+. Even though they are great value, they aren’t as good as the Benefit or MAC ones and they don’t have a great range of natural shades. These are also a little drier than the MAC paint pots or the Benefit creasless cream liners/shadows, and they are harder to apply with a brush.

My favourite shade is Bad to the Bronze, which is a mid cool toned bronze. These do last all day with minimal creasing, but I would love to see some more neutral shades in the range.

These are an amazing product! They are so easy and creamy to apply to the lid with a finger or a brush and really do last the whole day with no smudging or creasing. The pigmentation is amazing, a little goes a long way.

Lasts all day! I have finally got to try a few more from the range. I can say theyre my all time fave ! Bold gold while being sheer is amazing and glittery. It can be built up to intensify the colour. I love the creamy consistency which glides on and dries to guarantee all day long wear. I also love bad to the bronze which is the perfect every day shade. Its a little on the warm side but suits every eye colour. Tough as taupe is a very cementy colour but a nice matte to use in the lid space. Too cool is very nice and I put it on as a highlight and highlighter. They all blend so nice and are jus tso simple to use!

Love these cream eyeshadow. They are just as good as the expensive MAC Paint pot, maybe even better. I have these in 4 colours. They are really great as a base or to use on its own. The cream applies really smoothly on the eyelids and the colour payoff is great. They do last long, I have worn them for over 10 hours without it fading. it doesn’t crease either.

These are absolutely amazing! I have this in Bad to the Bronze which is a beautiful natural colour. They are very creamy and velvety and best applied with fingers. I like to use my ring finger and pat it on.
They are so easy to blend and so buildable!! It can be sheer or pigmented

They don’t crease too much, not at all if you use a primer and setting powder! They can also be used as bases.

They dont budge all day but are easy to remove at night.

I will be purchasing the rest of the colours!!
