Visionnaire [LR 2412 4%]

VIP Review Club

When it comes to skincare, we always recommend you spend your money where it matters most: on a treatment-specific serum that’s designed to target your primary skin concern.  And if you can find one that manages to tick all the boxes, tackling skin tone, texture, pores and fine lines, then you know it’s worth its weight in gold. Enter Lancome Visionnaire [LR 2412 4%]. A one-stop skincare shop, this lightweight corrector was made for layering over Lancome Genifique Youth Activator and before your day or night cream. In fact, it’s so gentle you can also use it on the delicate eye area on a daily basis or on those days when your skin could do with an extra helping hand.

The other beauty of this product is that the silky formula feels weightless on and sinks into the skin in next to no time, allowing you to get on with the rest of your makeup, without leaving skin looking or feeling oily. Plus, the multi-tasking formula means the product was designed to keep up with your changing skin needs, meaning you can use it all-over or just on problem areas where the skin needs it the most, like enlarged pores on the t-zone, or uneven skin tone on the forehead.

Righty oh, that’s enough chattering from us! It’s over to you Primpettes.

What do you think of the corrector?

Did you like the texture and feel of the product?

Did you notice an improvement in your skin tone, texture, fine lines, and pores?

Would you recommend this product to your pals?

Would you use this product again?

Is it worth the coin ($115 (30mL))?

The VIP's Verdict

My first impressions of this product was great packaging, eye catching silver box and lovely green bottle that its in. I loved that it came as a pump container so no wastage of the product.

The corrector is very lightweight and goes on very smoothly, it feels so light on your face and not greasy at all. I have notice my skin is a lot smoother. I would recommend to my friends to look into the product and try it for their particular skin problems.

At this stage, I am not sure if I would buy it as the cost is high. I will continue using the rest of it and see if I have any considerable improvement in my skin.

I did enjoy everything about the product. Everything from the bottle, which automatically made me think “high-end” product. The smell of the product was so refreshing and I even loved the way the product made my skin feel. Unfortuantely though, the product did make my skin break out so I most likely would not use it again.

If I could use one word to describe this product it would be ‘wow’!
By the second day of using the product there was a noticable improvement in the texture of my skin. I have also noticed a reduction in my pores (although the pesky blighters are still there) and also fine lines. My skin type is quite oily but I have found that this product really helps balance my skin. I also loved the pretty bottle and pump dispenser- which stops you from wasting too much.
I would definitly buy this product in future and would recommend it to my friends.

First impressions last and this product doesn’t disappoint. From first opening the box, the packaging looks and feels exxy and exudes quality. Pump pack delivers just enough product for a full face application, including the eye area. I love that I don’t need to use an additional eye cream with this as it is eye safe, but you certainly could use one on top if you wanted.
It’s a light weight texture that is instantly absorbed by the skin. I have very dry skin and this seemed to reduce my need for heavy moisturisers after just a few morning and night applications. It’s great under make up and provides a slightly smoother surface for foundation to glide over.
I definitely noticed an instant effect from this product, my skin was glowier and smoother. Over time my skin is tending towards a super refined texture, improved moisture retention, which means plumper, prettier skin.
I would recommend this to anyone with dry skin and in their 30′s (like me). Great for the maturing lady who wants to add a serum to her routine. No idea how it would go on an oily skin though, so keep reading through the reviews here.

At $115/30ml, it costs a packet and that is far more than I would ever usually pay for a skin product. If you would, then this is a great product to try out. I doubt I could bring myself to part with that amount of money for the Visionnaire Skin Corrector, but that said, when it finally does run out, I shall be crying into my nivea every evening once it is gone.

The product was packaged in a very elegant and functional aqua blue and silver case. It looked like the kind of sexily-designed product you’d come to expect from a brand such as Lancome.

The pump-action container enabled me to very accurately and neatly use just the right amount of product for my face without any wastage which is a big plus. The corrector itself was extremely easy to apply – smooth, fluid, moisturising, leaving no unpleasant residue as it was absorbed nearly instantly. The other advantage of Visionnaire was that it allowed me to use it around my delicate eye area, which seems to elude most other serum products. The smell was also a very pleasant, subdued fragrance which was very appealing.

I noticed my skin was smoother in feel immediately after application. I have freckles and sunspots and whilst there wasn’t any dramatic change in the last 3 weeks of us – it seemed to lighten the darkest spots ever so slightly and worked well to help reduce the appearance of my pores when applying makeup.

It does cost more than I’d usually spend on a product, but has made me consider whether I would buy it after I’m finished this time. I’ll look forward to seeing any further impact on my pigmentation over the next couple of weeks to make that decision.

Overall though, it is a good product I’d recommend to friends who are looking for an effective serum that smoothes the skin and reduces the appearance of pores on your face.

On first using the product I was apprehensive as to whether it would do anything to my ageing skin. However on using the product morning & night I found that an obvious difference has been achieved. My skin now glows and people have asked me whether I have had fillers or botox!

I’ve noticed that my wrinkles are less defined around the eyes, forehead and lip area. Also, open pores around the nose has become restricted and pigmentation diminished.

Thanks LANCOME and PRIMPED for the product. I’ll definitely be budgeting this product as part of my beauty regime.

Thanks so much to Primped & Lancome for allowing me to trial the Visionnaire product! Please see my review below:

What do you think of the corrector?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. I haven’t purchased any type of corrector or serum in the past as I wasn’t sure which one to buy however I have been wanting to try one for a while. This was the perfect opportunity to let me test it.

Did you like the texture and feel of the product?

I absolutely love how the product feels on my face. It is silky and smooth and doesn’t feel gluggy or oily at all. I also like the fact that it almost has a kind of shimmer within it so when I wear it alone with a touch of moisturiser I dont feel the need to HAVE to wear foundation as my skin shines naturally.

Did you notice an improvement in your skin tone, texture, fine lines, and pores?

The main change to my skin is the overall glow. I feel that my skin now lights up and doesn’t look grey and dull anymore. The pores on my nose have started to shrink and become less noticeable. At this stage in my life I do not have too many lines, however I think this is a perfect product to ensure any lines that are coming through are treated asap.

Would you recommend this product to your pals?

I would 100% recommend this product to friends and think it would actually be great for women of all ages.

Would you use this product again?

Once I finish the product I would definitely purchase again & after reading PRIMPEDs information on the product, I would also like to try Genefique and layer both products together for the best result.

Is it worth the coin ($115 (30mL))?

Although the product is not cheap, it is definitely worth the investment. The fact that you dont need to use alot of product means that the bottle will last quite a while, even when using it day & night. I think it is definitely worth the money!

    Thanks again Primped & Lancome!

When I received the email saying I would be reviewing this product I was overjoyed as I’ve been curious to try with all the hype and good reviews but was hesitant to spend that much money on a product they may or may not work.

Upon receiving my product I totally love the packaging and the pump bottle in comes in, not flimsy or cheap and looks beautiful on the dressing table.

The texture of serum was smooth, luminent and had a pearl through it which looked and felt luxurious.

The product doesnt disappoint, form the moment I appled to my fingertips to smearing it all over my face it felt luxurious, I felt my skin was being spoilt. My skin absorbed every single drop of the serum and felt supersmooth and supple.

The impact on my skin was tremendous within the first week, I had neglected my skin for 6 weeks whilst I had my middle finger in a strap during the day and a removeable cast at night so my skin regime was barely existent, within those 6 weeks my skin was good and went to ‘havoc please help me!’. Within the first week of applying Lancome’s Visionnaire Advanced SKin Corrector, the redness on my cheeks, nose and chin had reduced by half, the surface of my skin was started to smooth and the tone was returning back to normal if not better. Another two weeks went by and my skin is looking amazing, I still have a bit of congestion on the chin with some redness but I truly believe it will take a little longer for my skin to recover from the short term neglect.

This is a product I will be adding to my beauty regime permanently.

Thz primped for letting me try this wonderful product. Lancome Genifique, this little black bottle look modern and lux. The product is milky clear and UNBELIEVABLE easy to absorb. Basically this might be the fastest absorb serum I have ever used. However, for the first 5 days I try, the result is not that visible, tho this slowly improve my skin level. Later on, I did some research on web, most ppl saying this magic product actually work the best when working with any other serum…

    THEN, MIRACLE HAPPENED!!!

After I used Genifique, I put on another serum on my face (any budget serum or branded serum); the result is SUPER GREAT!!!! Guess this Genifique just work great as a primer of other serum and the result is 10X more better then my normally routine.

Not sure if I will buy Genifique again as it is a little pricey ….but guess this will be a good investment if other serum never work on you~!!!!

I’d seen this product advertised everywhere for a couple of months now, but wouldn’t have gone to buy one because I’m so attached to my own beauty regime.

When the opportunity arose to be part of this test team, I thought maybe a change would be good for my skin and yes, the Lancome Vissionaire has lived up to its promises!

The product has evened out my skin tone and had a great effect on making my pores seem smaller, which is a shock to me. Never thought that shrinking pores was possible!

Luckily I don’t have lines, but I can feel a more supple texture, and that makes me happy! Thank you Lancome and Primped!

I have been trialling Visionnaire by Lancome for the past few weeks and feel as though I’ve discovered a miracle. Not only have I seen a noticeable improvement to my skin tone and softening of lines, but its really simple to use.
    Love, love, love.

  • Posted by: Nicolien Newbie // Tue, 31 January 2012 01:41pm

What do you think of the corrector?
The cream has a beautiful smell! The smell is my favourite part of this product. It’s smells like an expensive perfume.
I also like the package, but if I was the one designing the bottle, I would go for red & gold instead of blue & silver.
I think red & gold fit the fragrance better. I also perceive red & gold as more expensive colours, designed for a woman who can afford this luxury lotion.

I love the material of the bottle, it’s nice to have it visible in the bathroom or on the dresser. It shows that you care welll for yourself.

Did you like the texture and feel of the product?
The texture is like a soft silky milk. It was nice to put on my skin and very easy to spread and cover the face quickly.
I needed to pump 3 times to have enough of lotion to cover my whole face.

When my skin is dry I like to put a bit of a thicker cream on, but the Lancome Visionnaire is perfect as a lotion in humid weather.

The last couple of days were very humid and all I put on my face was the Lancome Visionnaire.
When my skin was a bit dry I applied the Lancome Visionnaire first and then I put some day cream on my face.

Did you notice an improvement in your skin tone, texture, fine lines, and pores?
My skin feels soft, smooth and well hydrated.
I don’t really know if it improved my fine lines. By using this product I became actually more aware of my fine lines and they are still there.
Skintone and pores didn’t change either, as far as I can see, but I don’t really need to get them changed.. I have very easy skin.

Would you recommend this product to your pals?
I would recommend Lancome Visionnaire to anyone who would be looking for an amazing smelling lotion/ day cream.
I think it makes a great present for someone as well. It’s almost like a perfume but without spraying it on.
I think when someone kisses you on the face and they smell the Lancome Visionnaire, it’s a great thing as it smells so nice.
Also to smell it on my own face is very pleasant, as many creams smell a bit old lady-ish :)

Would you use this product again?
Yes, I will keep using it, but for the evening or when there is no sunshine.
I normally use a cream with UV protection, this is really important for me, as I live in sunny Sydney.
Even if it’s rainy in the morning I still put on cream with UV protection, as the sun can suddenly start shining.
I applied it in the evenings and on some days that I knew I would mainly be inside.

Is it worth the coin ($115 (30mL))?

I would not spend $115 myself on a small bottle of cream I use daily.

However, if someone would buy it as a present for me, I would be extremely grateful.
It’s a beautiful product, but I would use it more like a special treat than as a regular product.

I was so excited to be chosen for the LANCOME Visionnaire review so thankyou PRIMPED!

After testing this product, I love the way it feels on my skin. It is smooth & soft and feels like silk on my skin. My pores seem to be diminished and not as visible. It has also evened out my skin tone.

You truly only need one small pump of it for your entire face. I would definitely recommend the product to friends and think the $115 price tag is quite reasonable as the product will last a while as you only need a tiny amount. If I can get younger, better looking skin by using this product, it’s a winner for me!

    Good one Lancome!

There are countless choices of correcting serums available today, many holding the promise of refining the skin.

    Lancôme Visionnaire delivers!

After just a few applications, I noticed a difference in both the tone of the skin and the depth of the lines around the mouth and eye area.

This serum is easily absorbed and I would recommend this as part of any 30+ skincare routine. I think it is important to note, especially for dry skin, it should be applied before your regular day and/ or night cream.
And naturally this always works better when it is a complimentary product from the same range.
Although I applied this serum with another brand of night and day cream and I could still see results in just a few days.

The packaging is impressive and with an easy to use pump dispenser which measures the right amount to work with for the entire face and throat.

This is a good investment to improve your complexion, correct imperfections and soften the depth of fine lines and it also means you need less of the cream you apply over it.

This corrector earns a five- star rating!
Thank you PRIMPED for the opportunity to review.

There is nothing quite like having a beautiful Lancôme product sitting on your bathroom shelf. Just seeing the sleek looking bottle each morning and night made me excited to start my cleansing routine, knowing that after a cleanse and a tone I could get my pores (geddit) on Visionnaire.
I’ve never thought too much about using an anti-ageing product like this before so I was so excited to be given the chance to trial [LR 2412 4%].
I love a product that does what it says. And this one sure did. It sunk into my skin quickly without leaving it feeling dry or oily. I think to think that while I’m busy worrying about keeping my liquid eyeliner straight, there is a product busy worrying about keeping my skin looking youthful. Thanks Visionnaire, you and I are going to be lifelong friends.
After a week on my new Visionnaire routine, I noticed that I couldn’t notice my large pores quite so much. I’ve never used a product that claimed to help out my pores (at least I don’t remember doing so) so it was great to have a good first time experience.
I’m all about skin investment, so I would be more than happy to shell out the cash to use this product again.

I am very particular with the types of anti-aging products I use, having used the same products for many many years and loving the results, so I thought Lancôme Visionairre had a lot to prove to me.

I would use Lancome after I had cleansed and toned my face, then applied moisturiser on top, the serum had a gel like consistency and felt very lovely on my face making it appear healthy and smooth. After using it for a few days I did notice my skin started to break out around my cheeks and chin which is very unusual to happen at my tender age. I wasn’t sure whether it was because I was applying moisturiser on top of the serum as well or if it just didn’t agree with my skin so I discontinued using the moisturiser after the serum to see how it performed. The serum without the moisturiser made my skin feel tight and dry so I ended up having to apply moisturiser. I cant say whether it had long term effectiveness as I stopped using it after I experienced a second stage of a break out on my face.

I think this is a good product though as many of my friends have now started using it and say it is a good product! At $115 I think is a standard price you pay for a good anti-aging serum.

I’ve been a fan of Lancome products so when I heard about Visionnaire, I was super excited to try it. This advanced skin corrector or serum is designed for women of all skin types (even sensitive), who have concerns with wrinkles, evenness and pores. Whilst I am still at an age where these skin concerns aren’t a big issue for me as yet, I believe early prevention is key to maintaining more youthful looking skin for longer.

Visionnaire is housed in a sleek, slightly rectangular shaped teal coloured pump dispenser bottle. I love the pump which is not only more hygienic, but delivers just enough product in a single pump to cover the entire face, though I prefer to use 1 and ¼ pumps. You can always pump out a little more if that is insufficient.

The serum is pearly white with a slight pinkish tinge and is a creamy gel-like formula with a lovely, slightly floral fragrance. I have been using this serum for about a month, every morning and night in conjunction with Lancome’s Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate. To use this serum, I dot small amounts around the entire face and then gently rub it in to ensure the serum is applied evenly. The serum doesn’t feel sticky or greasy and is absorbed quickly into the skin, leaving it feeling velvety smooth with a slightly matte finish. It can be used alone but it is recommended that you apply your usual moisteriser afterwards for extra hydration.

To date I have noticed that my laugh lines and the few fine lines on my forehead are softer in appearance, the pores near my cheeks are slightly smaller and my skin is more even toned and smooth. I find that now I don’t have to apply a mask of foundation all over my face, but only require small amounts under the eyes, a bit on the cheeks and around the nose. This not only allows my skin to breathe but also gives me a more natural, less made up look. I believe with continued, prolong use, this serum will help prevent deep fine lines and wrinkles from forming and keep the skin looking smooth.

I definitely would recommend this serum for those who are looking for a product that targets the 3 skin concerns mentioned earlier, and to prevent the early signs of aging. It may be an additional step to your daily skincare routine, but this small step may be just what your skin needs to see remarkable improvements in the overall appearance and texture of your skin. Your skin will love it.

What do you think of the corrector?

I liked the fact that it was very light and absorbed very well. The packaging is very appealing, loved the colours.

Did you like the texture and feel of the product?

I did like the texture and feel of the product.

Did you notice an improvement in your skin tone, texture, fine lines, and pores?

I did notice some difference in finer lines as well as my skin was a little more even coloured and my sun spots appeared lighter than usual. Generally speaking it performed quite well on my skin which is combination of oily and normal. I felt there was a slightly more radiant look too.

Would you recommend this product to your pals?

Yes I would recommend it to friends.

Would you use this product again?

I would as long as it was within my budget and continued to improve all the areas mentioned earlier.

Is it worth the coin ($115 (30mL))?

I would prefer it to be a little less expensive. I usually pay around $70 – $80, comfortable with that price. Alternatively add a little more value with a complimentary product/sample.
